Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Hours: 45 hours per week

Salary: £34,000 per annum + tips

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our prestigious hotel/restaurant team. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of food and beverage staff to deliver outstanding service. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, including restaurant, bar, and room service. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food delivery.
Guest Satisfaction: Uphold the highest standards of customer service, ensuring guests receive a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and effectively.
Menu Development and Pricing: Collaborate with the chef and senior management to develop innovative menus that reflect the hotel/restaurant’s brand and cater to the preferences of our clientele. Implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring adequate stock of food, beverages, and supplies. Implement cost-control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff alike.
Financial Management: Monitor departmental budgets and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
Event Planning and Management: Coordinate and oversee special events, private functions, and banquets, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service.
Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and resolve issues effectively.
Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including menu development, pricing, and inventory management.
Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
